Tourvey is the brainchild of a leading tourism researcher (Jim) and a technology savy problem solver (Jeremy). 

Jim Petrick is a former Cruise Director who jumped ship to obtain a Ph.D. in Tourism Marketing.  This change in career gives Jim the rare perspective of knowing what questions practitioners have, while being able to use academic knowledge and tools to assist in answering them. In the past eight years, Jim has conducted research for more than twenty different state tourism agencies, and 15 major Convention & Visitors Bureaus.  Jim knows DMO’s.  Beyond DMO’s, Jim has also conducted tourist behavior research for the National Park System, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Holland America Cruise Line, and countless others.
